About This Software

Bitmap2Material is an incredibly powerful tool that helps you generate full, seamlessly tiling materials from any bitmap image, right within your favorite DCC tool and game engine*. This now includes all PBR (Physically-Based Rendering) channels, based on the most accurate conversion algorithm out there.

HIGH QUALITY OUTPUTS

Bitmap2Material lets you extract all the possible maps from a single image: this now includes PBR channels such base color (or albedo), metallic, roughness but also normal, height, specular, curvature, AO etc.

    Best textures from stock photo generator. Except it isn't.. An incredible tool for making textures out of photos! It's easy to learn and use.
    Definitely would recommend to everyone who's working with textures.. Very useful. This software is very good for those who like their indie games to look alittle more proffesional without any struggle. This is a very easy to use software and has helped me with my small groups game we are developing. We use the Unity3D engine which this software works super smooth with. I've heard just the same thing about the CryEngine aswell!

    Good software, easy to use, can be used to generate the map. Can be seen as a simplified version of a special feature of SD. Unfortunately, it is not frequently updated and cannot save the file as SD material. So, for those who have SD, this software is not useful.. I use a lot of photosource for my tiling textures, and this is an amazing tool. It's very intuitive to use after following along with Allegorithmic's video walkthrough, which takes you through all the stuff you need to get started. The normal maps this program generates are miles better than anything Photoshop generates, and you get all the other PBR slots like Height maps, and whatnot, which really pushes the texture to new levels. This is a must buy for anyone serious about environmental art.

    The only "gotcha" is that some maps are exported as greysale, which Unity can't read naturally, so you have to change thme to RGB in photoshop, but once you do that you're gold. I plopped everything into the standard shader and after tweaking how intense I wanted each thing to be, it all looked great.. Exelent normal generation and overal good soft,
